Is an NZeTA a visa?
No. An NZeTA is an electronic travel authority that lets eligible people travel to New Zealand without applying for a visa in advance. Entry permission is still assessed at the border.
How long is an NZeTA valid?
An NZeTA is generally valid for 2 years for travellers and can be used for multiple journeys while valid.
How long should I allow?
Immigration New Zealand says to allow 72 hours. Some requests are completed sooner, but additional checks can take longer. No private service can guarantee or fast-track the government decision.
What are the official government charges?
The official NZeTA request fee is NZD $17 through the government mobile app or NZD $23 through the government website. Most visitors also pay the NZD $100 IVL. Exemptions apply, including for many genuine transit passengers.
